Farrah Douglas

Ms. Farrah Douglas is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Liver Health Foundation. A California based foundation to support the liver community. The Foundation’s mission is to provide life-saving information on liver Health, promote prevention of liver disease, advocate for quality patient care, and host community and physician centered educational programs and services to meet the needs of the local liver patients.

Prior to Liver Health Foundation, Ms. Douglas was the National Engagement Director West for the American Liver Foundation. She was affiliated with ALF for six years and rebuilt the Greater Los Angeles’s failing division into one of the most consequential divisions for the organization. Her other professional engagements included executive Director of Stop Cancer LA, Chief Operating Officer Liver Wellness Foundation, Chief Development Officer at Tri-City Medical Center (San Diego) and Executive Director Tri-City Foundation (San Diego).

Ms. Douglas’ background includes over 28 years leadership in business and non-profit segments. She has served as the Chair of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce (the second largest chamber in San Diego County), Director and Chair of various Committees at the San Diego Association of Government (SANDAG), San Diego Water Authority, Carlsbad Library Foundation, Carlsbad Planning Commission, and many others. She was an elected Council Member in the City of Carlsbad, San Diego County, from 2010 to 2014. She is the recipient of many leadership and philanthropic awards including San Diego Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business” and Google’s “Most Innovative City Council.”

Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Literature and a master’s degree in Philosophy. Ms. Douglas currently resides in the city of Redondo Beach, California. She enjoys reading, listening to music, walking, and playing with her grandchildren.
