Aaron Jackson
Aaron Jackson's journey is a testament to the power of resilience, positivity, and unwavering faith. Diagnosed with biliary atresia at birth, he defied expectations, excelling in academics and sports. His early experiences with bullying and self-doubt, largely due to the appearance of his enlarged spleen, fueled his determination to overcome challenges and embrace his unique strengths. Luckily, Aaron had a great support network of family and friends, allowing him to cope with his struggles at school and to become the positive person he is today.
After living a fairly normal childhood, young adult and adult life, and graduating from college with an Economics degree from Florida A&M University, life began to shift for Aaron in 2017. Aaron faced his long-awaited turning point, requiring a liver transplant and unbeknownst to him a Liver and Kidney Transplant. From 11/10/2019 to 3/6/2020, he faced the toughest challenges that one could imagine. From losing his eyesight and memory, to coming to terms with the fact that he had to learn to walk again, his experience deepened his empathy for others facing similar struggles and ignited his passion for advocacy. Today, Aaron brings his unwavering optimism, strength, and personal experiences to the relationships that he harbors and the communities that he serves as the SoCal Divisions Grants Coordinator for a well-known Non-Profit.
He is committed to using his social media platform to raise awareness, inspire hope, and empower as many people as he possibly can especially, those impacted by liver disease, biliary atresia, and organ transplantation. Aaron's story is a beacon of hope, demonstrating that with the right mindset, support, and determination, anything is possible. His enthusiasm for life, coupled with his deep understanding of the challenges faced by patients and families, makes him a valuable asset to any organization. Aaron's commitment to making a positive impact is unwavering, and he approaches each day of his life with a sense of purpose, empathy, and an unshakeable belief in the power of the human spirit.
