Shaun Chandna

Dr. Shaun Chandna earned his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics at the University of California, Los Angeles. He received his medical degree with Honors from Western University of Health Sciences. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and dual fellowships in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology at the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Chandna is a highly experienced hepatologist with medical expertise in general and transplant hepatology. He is an Attending Physician in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. He has held faculty positions at the University of Utah and the University of Cincinnati where he was Assistant Professor of Medicine. He Co-developed the multidisciplinary Liver Tumor Clinic at the University of Utah/Huntsman Cancer Institute. He served as Assistant Fellowship Director for Gastroenterology at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Chandna has been published in peer-reviewed research journals. He has been a principal investigator and sub-investigator for multiple clinical trials.
Dr. Chandna has served on the Ethics Committee for the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD). He is a Public Policy Subcommittee member for the American Society of Transplantation Liver and Intestinal Community of Practice. He has served on the Medical Advisory Board for DonorConnect. He is an Advisor for the Chronic Liver Disease Foundation and a National Medical Advisor for the American Liver Foundation.
His clinical and academic interests include liver diseases across the spectrum, cirrhosis, liver cancer, liver transplantation, and liver transplant oncology. Dr. Chandna is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Chandna is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Transplant Hepatology.
