Laleh Melstrom

MD, MSCI

Associate Professor and Chief of Surgical Oncology at City of Hope Medical Center.

Dr. Melstrom, a talented surgeon and award-winning instructor and researcher, has been educated at Johns Hopkins University. She received her medical degree at Cornell Medical College in New York City, continuing her training at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Melstrom held professorships at both Cornell and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School before moving to California. She is certified in robotic surgery and specializes in the treatment of cancers of liver, pancreas, melanoma, and sarcoma. Dr. Melstrom has published over 100 scholarly articles, is funded by the NIH and several foundation grants and is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences.
